Job Description – Corridor Redevelopment Specialist
Under the supervision of the Director of the Office of Communications, Marketing & Economic Development (CMED), this position is responsible for proactive and strategic economic development activities related to the redevelopment and revitalization of the City’s commercial corridors. Functions require the ability to assess the commercial corridor needs; conduct strategic planning for the commercial corridors; interface with existing business operators and property owners; and develop and facilitate programs to enhance, revitalize, redevelop and strengthen the City’s commercial tax base. This employee shall assist with the development and implementation of an overall commercial corridor improvement strategy that includes innovative zoning and land use initiatives, promotional and marketing tactics, and property improvement programs within a framework that focus on sustainable development. Work is reviewed through conferences and written reports for results obtained.
