The race for Jacksonville Beach City Council Seat 1 focuses on transformation of the city, especially downtown.
Candidates Kurtis Loftus and incumbent Chris Hoffman talk about downtown redevelopment in slightly different ways: Loftus through events and the image of Jacksonville Beach and Hoffman through more and a larger variety of businesses. Both see downtown as the key to positive change in Jacksonville Beach, and their platforms highlight the best ways they see that can turn the area into a hub that serves both residents and visitors.
‘Bustling Day and Night’
Incumbent Chris Hoffman said that the past four years have given her the opportunity to see what works in Jacksonville Beach, and she wants to use her next term to continue moving forward in public safety, infrastucture and community resources.
