As a downtown Lake Worth resident for nearly 25 years, I am neither a fan of unbridled growth nor a fan of “Lake Worth should just be a dune.” I spent a decade in sales/marketing with two national hotel chains, and I’ve always felt this little gem called the Gulfstream Hotel was such a missed opportunity.
The problem: It is not sustainable as it is. It offers no amenities to allow it to compete.
The developer’s representative did an excellent job of explaining the goals, and potential outcome, of this project. It will become the anchor for the downtown business district, providing international exposure and flooding the downtown area with new customers and, ultimately, new businesses.
