Delray Marketplace adding parking spaces
After almost a decade of waiting, residents of West Delray got the entertainment complex they asked for in the form of Delray Marketplace.
What they didn’t get were enough places to park. But, that will change soon.
Officials from the center, which is located at the intersection of West Atlantic Avenue and Lyons Road, have announced plans to add about 200 parking spaces in time for the holiday shopping season.
Since opening earlier this year, the 254,000-square-foot outdoor mall has turned into suburbia’s favorite place to grab a drink at happy hour, chow down on a Shula Burger or catch a flick. But that popularity can make finding an empty parking spot a mission impossible.
