A state transit grant for $1.5 million the city received to buy seven trolleys in 2020 could possibly be moved up by the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization, said Haynie, who is chairwoman of that governing board.
City Manager Leif Ahnell was also directed to issue requests for proposals for other trolley and shuttle proposals and a Downtowner-type system for large golf cart-type vehicles. The Downtowner was free and based on tips.
