The guiding document for Lincolnville’s redevelopment is heading for an update, and that could translate to new or expanded programs in the community.
What happens with the Lincolnville Redevelopment Plan depends on Florida statutes, public input and the will of the Lincolnville Community Redevelopment Area steering committee. The plan guides the committee’s actions in making or recommending improvements in the Community Redevelopment Area. The area was established in 2013 to improve the community by addressing blight, according to the city.
One reason for beginning a plan review is that people have made requests to the CRA steering committee for things that can’t be funded because they aren’t in the redevelopment plan, said Nick Noloboff, CRA steering committee chair. Some requests include recreation and beautification projects.
