TEMPLE TERRACE — Florida Hospital, one of two companies that planned to make pitches Monday to be the anchor of Downtown Temple Terrace, has withdrawn its proposal.
This came after city redevelopment director Marty Hudson gave the hospital a low score on how it fits with the city’s redevelopment plan and the money it would generate for the city over 15 years.
He gave its competitor for the space, engineering and software development firm Eriksson Technologies, a near-perfect score.
City manager Charles W. Stephenson stated “with great regret’’ in an email Thursday that Florida Hospital notified him Wednesday that it was withdrawing its proposal.
