New restaurants, stores and cultural offerings are flocking to the neighborhoods south of Okeechobee Blvd. in and around the main Dixie Highway thoroughfare in West Palm Beach.
So, time for more new homes, too.
A townhouse project called Park Slope is planned for 1200 Lake Avenue, across from Howard Park. The development is in historic Grandview Heights.
Developer Neil Kozokoff of Parkland Companies said the neighborhood is sensitive about the architectural style of homes, and so he settled on an Art Deco-style finish to match the Armory Art Center on nearby Parker Avenue.
The 14 townhouses will range in size from 2,200 to 2,400 square feet and will start at $599,000 up to the high $600,000s. Site work is starting and a construction permit is expected sometime in April. Completion is planned for the end of the year.
