SEBRING — The city of Sebring’s long-awaited sale of Harder Hall appeared to be imminent Monday.
As of late Monday afternoon, South Florida Senior Living had not notified the city that it wants to back out of purchasing the historic hotel and transforming it into an independent senior living facility.
The Monday deadline was the latest the expected buyer could have notified the city and got back a refund of the $100,000 deposit it had put up, City Administrator Scott Noethlich said.
“Tomorrow (Tuesday) that $100,000 is hard,” Noethlich said.
Under the contract, South Florida Senior Living would have 30 more days to close on the property, Noethlich said.
