The city’s redevelopment agency approved this week to pick up the annual lease expenses for the new art space in the Cornerstone development under construction.
The board of Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) agreed on Monday to spend $179,300 a year (with a 3 percent escalator each year) for the city’s Museum of Art to open a new roughly 8,100-square-foot space in the complex’s north building expected to be completed within the next two years at the corner of Sample Road and University Drive.
The museum will remain at 2855 Coral Springs Drive offering exhibits, programming, and classes, while the new space in Cornerstone will, too, have exhibits and programs in an area city officials expect to draw more people.
