Salary Range: $39,391.87-$61,716.10

Position requires knowledge of the urban planning and land development field and professional planning work of technical difficulty. The Planning Technician is responsible for general office and project organization and providing administrative assistance to further the efforts of the Development Services Department, including the in-take of site plan and development plans, and the review of site plans associated with building permits and development projects. Work involves a variety of technical and analytical functions relating to comprehensive plans, land development regulations, land use permit applications, and policies and procedures adopted by citizen boards and the City Commission. Education Requirement: Graduation from a standard senior high school or GED equivalent, supplemented by two years of post-secondary college or technical training in land use, urban planning, architecture, public administration, building technology, or related field with two years of experience in general office procedures.
