Job Description Summary
The City of Largo is searching for a Principal Planner!
This position will manage complex and sensitive professional planning projects, research and analysis and assists with the preparation of project budgets and manages the work of consultants, site plan review and coordinates the site plan review process. Coordinates the Development Review Committee (DRC) meetings, oversees specialized planning functions such as the review of large scale development proposals, including development agreements and projects related to the implementation of the City’s strategic plan!
Education and Experience. Master’s Degree in Urban Planning or directly related field and five (5) years directly related experience to include municipal urban planning, including development review, and project management; or equivalent education and experience. AICP certification. Specialty certifications such as American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Advanced Specialty Certification, LEED certification, CNU certification or Certified Economic Developer (CecD) are preferred, Valid Driver’s License
