PALM CITY – The unique fusion of stormwater management and artistic endeavors here known as the Ripple Stormwater Eco-Art Project is now in the home stretch, with Martin County staffers putting final touches on its infrastructural pieces over the next few months.
Launched some eight years ago as a collaborative effort unite municipal stormwater treatment, artistic elements and community engagement, Ripple is also the story of hydrology in the Old Palm City Community Redevelopment Area. Located south of Martin Downs Boulevard and east of Mapp Road, the project hydraulically connects the stormwater functions of four distinct parcels between Southwest 28th and 29th Streets. Martin County’s Community Development Office Manager Susan Kores provided the Community Redevelopment Agency an update on the project progress during its June 27 meeting.
