Community Development Director – FULL TIME EXEMPT
DESCRIPTION
This highly responsible professional position directs and manages activities of the Community Development Department related to the comprehensive and community planning, building, zoning, sustainability, economic development, code enforcement, and includes extensive public contact and communication with Residents, Visitors, investors, and with the Community Development (Design) Board for the City of Neptune Beach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Urban or Regional Planning, Public Administration or in a closely related field. Three years in planning and/or Community Development is required with experience in coastal communities highly desirable. Preferred candidates will have experience leading and managing a team. Experience and knowledge of GIS databases and applications is desirable. Must be proficient in the operation of a PC, with background in Word and Excel required. Must possess a current, valid drivers’ license in the State of Florida. AICP Certification preferred.
Salary Range: $66,750 – $89,250
