The Senior Planner will work with a variety of community groups and must have experience in community planning and developing policies that articulate community vision. This position performs professional and technical work developing, researching and maintaining public planning studies and programs. Work involves technical and creative responsibility conducting research and preparing detailed studies on land use, zoning, conservation, housing, transportation, population, coastal management, historic preservation, urban design, community development, and other areas of comprehensive planning activities. Ensures program compliance with criteria governing local, state and federal legislature relating to growth management. Degree of complexity in work assignments depends on education and work experience.
