Land use planning: Review and processing of rezones, special exceptions, comprehensive plan, large scale developments, Developments of Regional Impact, Developments of Critical Concerns, Developer Agreements, and planning and intergovernmental projects. Present factual reports to the public, Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Geography, or a major recognized by APA as “related” and six years’ experience in planning. A Master’s Degree in above areas may substitute for one year. Related professional experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree. AICP Certification within 18 months of hire.
