The City of Fort Myers seeks community input at the next Midtown Visioning Plan public meeting on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Parish Hall of St. Francis Zavier Catholic Church, 2050 Heitman Street, Fort Myers, FL. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a presentation at 5:30 p.m. and a design charrette to follow. The purpose of the meeting is to share the preliminary Midtown Vision Plan and gather input from community members.
The City of Fort Myers and the City of Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency retained the University of South Florida School of Architecture and Community Design to help define a future growth strategy. The intent of this effort is to build upon previous planning initiatives and incorporate public workshops and presentations throughout the duration of the project to develop an integrated strategy for the growth of and connections between Downtown, Midtown, and Gardner’s Park.
