CITY OF GROVELAND SEEKING CRA MANAGER/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER
JOB TITLE: Community Redevelopment Agency Manager/Economic Development Project Manager (Fulltime 40 hour)
PAY RANGE: (salary range $45,123-$55, 575) Commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for managing the Groveland Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) which includes the administrative operations, public relations, capital project planning and implementation and administering the implementation of the adopted Community Redevelopment Plan in accordance with FS Chapter 163 Part III requirements. The position may also involve periodic economic development projects as assigned by the City Manager. The CRA Manager shall report to and closely coordinate with the City Manager. The CRA Manager will provide scheduled briefings and program updates and information to the CRA Board members.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and Experience:
Experience with a Community Redevelopment Agency/Main Street Program and with Tax Increment Financing Districts is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
Four (4) or more years’ experience in a planning and development, business/public administration, small business development, marketing, historic preservation, marketing, public relations, architectural design, economic development or related field.
A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be considered for substitution for the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of State of Florida laws including but not limited to Community Redevelopment Act, economic development methods, techniques and programs.
Basic knowledge of Florida planning and zoning process and procedures.
Strong project management and organizational skills. Strong verbal and writing skills.
Self-starter, ability to initiate tasks and complete projects independently.
Computer literacy, proficiency with MS Office products. Basic knowledge of ESRI GIS software a plus.
Ability to work effectively with and people of varying backgrounds, cultures, interests, educational and experience levels.
