The Community Redevelopment Agency discussed a proposed $975,986 budget at its Tuesday meeting.
The budgeted items discussed included the Heritage Park and Garden, Azalea Park and an incentive program for businesses.
Robert Ford and Joann Martz from Friends of Heritage Park and Garden requested funding for lighting for the park.
Martz said they want to add lighting for safety reasons.
The CRA budgeted $12,000 but were able to adjust the budget and add $3,000.
City councilman John Yulee asked if they expected the CRA to fund the entire project.
“We expect you to do your best,” Martz said.
The CRA budgeted $97,033 for economic development for businesses, specifically for creating a business in a vacant building.
The specific guidelines and qualifications for the program will be created at a later date.
