Proposed by Elements Development, LLC., The District, a 28.6-acre redevelopment of the Southbank’s JEA Southside Generation Station site, will contain 1,200 multi-family residential units, 150,000-square-feet of retail and 200,000-square feet of office space when complete in September 2019.
Developers plan to break ground on the first of three phases around December 2016. Phase one will feature 500 residential units, 200 hotel rooms, 94,400 square feet of commercial/retail and 200,000 square feet of office.
