Five new development plans have been filed in Miami-Dade County as part of the May 2016 comprehensive development master plan (CDMP) amendment cycle, including a proposal to build 1,100 homes on a golf course.
The county received seven applications for its bi-annual CDMP amendment cycle. Two of them were the re-filings of development plans for American Dream Miami — the largest mall project in North America — and a neighboring mixed-use project by the Graham Cos. All the CDMP amendments could go before the county commission in November to approve them for transmittal to the state. They would then need a second county vote in the first quarter of 2017. First, however, the applicants have to answer many questions from county staff about their projects’ potential impacts.
