Residents voice concern over increased traffic, density.
MADEIRA BEACH – Some scale-down appears likely to a controversial multi-use development proposed for the Holton property on the west end of the causeway bridge in Madeira Beach.
The Madeira Beach Planning Commission took no action in a Jan. 11 meeting on the development as proposed. They acted on the advice of City Manager Shane Crawford and in the face of more than 250 citizens who packed city hall for the session. Most had concerns about the development’s size related to the height of buildings and traffic that would be generated in the area.
