MOUNT DORA — City officials are celebrating the completion of the streetscape project that revamped the look of downtown.
The city hosted a ribbon cutting Friday night to mark the end of the three-year project, which repaired roads, sidewalks and infrastructure. About 100 people turned out for the celebration.
“It feels awesome,” Mayor Cathy Hoechst said. “After three long years everything has come together and it looks beautiful.”
She said the city doesn’t plan to renovate any other portions of the downtown but the city will be looking into a plan to upkeep the area soon.
