LAKE WORTH – Say bye-bye to theInvitation to Negotiate process, the controversial method the city used to solicit developers for the Lake Worth Casino project.
“The process was started to bring some creative solutions to some of the more challenging areas of the city…but it was a major failure,” Mayor Pam Triolo said at this past week’s City Commission meeting. “I know other cities do it, but Lake Worth requires an extra level of scrutiny over every single process. It’s not a good process for us.”
The commission unanimously voted to close the process for the casino project.
Three companies — Hudson Holdings, Anderson & Carr, Wavehouse Miami — responded to the ITN. Now all of those companies’ proposals have been officially rejected.
