The Gainesville Housing Authority will host a neighborhood workshop to discuss the proposed Woodland Park redevelopment project and receive comments from residents.
The workshop will take place at 6 p.m. Monday at the Gainesville Housing Authority office at 1900 SE Fourth St. Housing residents and the community are being invited.
Pamela Davis, executive director of the Gainesville Housing Authority, said the first and second phases of the three-phase proposed redevelopment will feature up to 100 multi-family residential rental units offering one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. Davis said the third phase will provide home ownership opportunities and will include 102 condominiums/townhouses featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom units that will “provide opportunities for Section 8 (residents) to purchase a home.”
