SUMMARY:
This highly responsible, professional, specialized, and process driven position involves citywide strategic planning, community redevelopment, serving the public interest, intergovernmental operation and cooperation, real estate expertise, and project coordination. Provides leadership to the Community Redevelopment Agency. Technical and Administrative responsibilities involve short and long range planning and budgeting. Responsible for establishing and managing the Agency’s policies and procedures and undertaking special projects as assigned. Functions under the general supervision of the City Manager through conferences, observation, reports, programs, and project achievements. This position ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and compliance with our RISE Service Standards.
The successful candidate for this position must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Urban and Regional Planning.
- Six to nine years’ related experience in political environments, real estate development and CRA related redevelopment, planning, project financing, public finance, and statistical analysis or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with minimal citations (no more than six points)Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills required, including fluency in English (oral and written).
