Title: CRA Administrator

Salary: $56,000 – $84,000 per year
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of formally adopted community redevelopment area plans within the City of Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), which is the redevelopment of Downtown. Performs administration and coordination of CRA operations, as well as administrative, and project management functions inclusive of assignments as directed by the CRA Board or designees, City Staff and third parties as required and or necessary. Provides highly responsible and complex support and effectively communicates with internal and external customers to address highly technical or complex situations.
- Serve as dedicated staff liaison to the CRA Board to fulfill administrative and operation requirements; develops and coordinates all aspects of monthly CRA Board meetings and facilitates all related communications.
- Responsible for developing and producing the CRA Annual Report including project progress reports; annual operating budget; annual business plan. Coordinates the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit reports with external auditor.
- Assists in the creation and implementation of strategies developed by the CRA board and per the CRA master plan; including implementation of business retention and expansion programs within the CRA area to grow economic base, capital investment and jobs.
- Interfaces with consultants related to design and engineering, redevelopment, planning, right-of-way plans, master plans, land uses and other planning and development related initiatives.
- Partners with legal counsel to ensure adherence to pertinent statutes, monitoring and interpretation of CRA related legislation, develops and recommends changes to resolutions, ordinances, inter-local agreements.
- Utilizes internal marketing and communication resources to promote CRA activities and accomplishments.
- Serves as liaison for CRA to other governmental agencies for administrative project purposes and participates in community meetings with business owners and residents.
- Assists Economic Development Office with projects that pertain to the CRA area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Public/Business Administration, Real Estate, Planning or other related field; supplemented by 5-7 years’ experience in the field of community development, urban planning and redevelopment, real estate development, real estate finance, economic development or closely related field. A Master’s Degree in other related fields may be substituted for a portion of the required work experience. Florida Redevelopment Association / Redevelopment Professional (FRA/RP) designation preferred. A combination of education and extensive related experience may also be considered.
HOUR OF WORK: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Schedule requires flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and holidays, based on Agency’s operational requirements.
