NAPLES, Fla. – Naples City Council will hear several presentations on the history of Central Avenue and future plans on Wednesday, when business owners are expected to fill council chambers to complain.

The business owners are opposed to a plan by the city’s engineer, Kimley-Horn and Associates, that they say is being fastracked. It adds medians they contend will prevent customers from turning into their businesses and force them to drive to a roundabout to turn around. They’re also against losing many parking spaces and narrowing the road from four lanes to two.
