Position Summary (Major Job Duties)
Responsible as a member of a growing department within a full service management consulting firm in charge of providing real estate asset management services to governmental clients. Services include property acquisition, property sales, tenant recruitment and leasing, property management, and property acquisition due diligence. The RMA real estate office is located in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Property acquisition for clients;
- Provide an inventory of properties owned by clients and make recommendations to the client concerning land disposal and land aggregation and asset management;
- Conduct all tasks of due diligence for clients desiring to acquire property or to dispose of property
- Oversee client property sales, including preparing and processing governmental Request for Proposals;
- Oversee client property leasing, both residential and commercial, and preparing and processing any governmental procurement process requirements;
- Manage client owned properties including property maintenance;
- Manage specific projects assigned by the supervisor;
- Meet with tenants, builders and developers in the South Florida area to generate interest in purchasing property from clients;
- Manage consultants for specific projects related to client real estate owned properties;
- Assists in attracting retail, office and industrial tenants and developers to the clients’ areas of concentration;
- Prepare developer and tenant real estate packages that would include site information, demographics, photographs, surveys, and more to use in attracting tenants and developers; and,
Qualifications (Education, work experience, special requirements)
The candidate should possess a four-year college degree or have a minimum of five years of experience in real estate development, finance, market research, brokerage, property acquisition, property management and other related disciplines to real estate. The candidate must be a good public speaker and an excellent writer; able to write requests for proposals (”RFP”). Candidate should possess a state license in at least one of the fields of brokerage, construction, or other related field. Additional education and certification is desired. Membership in associations such as International Council of shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, or National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals is desirable.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Performs varied administrative responsibilities; usually under little direct supervision, allowing latitude for use of independent judgment. However, the position will require working with a team of professionals who take on their own assignments but also shares assignments with one another. The supervisor will be the Real Estate Department Head. Interprets departmental operations, policies, and procedures and disseminates relevant information. Composes a variety of correspondence, especially to property owners and prospective tenants. Establishes and maintains a variety of complex records and reports. Computes and compiles data. Sets up and maintains files. Schedules meetings.
