The Orchid Garden, a hidden gem in downtown Orlando, has undergone a $2 million renovation by Tremont Realty Capital and is back in business.
The hall and meeting facility was created in the image of a New Orleans courtyard when Bob Snow built it in the ’80s. He spared little expense, using real marble, brass light fixtures, stained glass windows and wrought iron railings.
In recent years, it had fallen into vacancy and disrepair. A brief occupant, Club Paris, had painted over the marble and brass with silver, blue and pink paint in 2004. It was supposed to be a trendy nightclub where socialite Paris Hilton had her own pink-colored VIP lounge upstairs, but it didn’t last.
All of that is gone now, and the original opulence of the place is clearly visible.
