BARTOW | Lake Alfred’s plan to establish a community redevelopment agency drew sharp questioning from Polk County commissioners Tuesday.
Although commissioners unanimously approved a resolution allowing the city to establish the CRA, some made it clear they were interested in looking at the details when the issue comes back for approval of an ordinance.
Lake Alfred officials propose establishing a CRA along a 1,014-acre strip of land stretching from the city’s small downtown area eastward to some still undeveloped rural land south of Lake Lowery.
