The City of Fernandina Beach and the Amelia Island Museum of History wish to recognize the efforts of those involved in preserving our unique architectural resources by honoring historic preservation projects through the City’s third preservation awards program. Historic structures contribute to the identity of our community, and sensitive treatment of these resources ensures residents and visitors will experience our community character in the future. Eligible projects can be anywhere within the City limits, completed within the last five years, and finished no later than March 31, 2014. The deadline for nominations is April 4, 2014. There is no fee to apply. Award recipients will be honored at a City Commission meeting during May 2014, National Preservation Month.
