Developers lining up to build downtown Fort Myers hotel
Prospective developers are lining up to build a hotel in downtown Fort Myers after the initial project fell through last month.
Representatives from Acquest Realty Advisors told the Fort Myers City Council during a workshop Monday that they are in serious talks with at least three would-be developers for the hotel planned for the spot between the Harborside Event Center and the detention basin.
“Two have taken those discussions to a fairly substantive level,” said Dennis McGillicuddy, of Acquest. “Our objective is to try to put this together by April 1st.”
