Port Richey concludes street paving project
PORT RICHEY — Crews recently finished paving in the Marina Palms subdivision by late last week for the city of Port Richey project.
The city tapped into its Community Redevelopment Agency funds for the improvements.
In June, city officials approved the bid from BRW Contracting, based in Land O’ Lakes, for various street improvements for $77,156, including the Marina Palms subdivision.
Paving included streets Navigator Court, Anchorage Cove, Sailwinds Pass and Marina Palms Drive.
The first phase required grinding and removing the asphalt on the deteriorated streets, known as milling. The existing asphalt is removed prior to repaving to avoid changing the road’s stormwater drainage.
