Hall’s Seafood Restaurant, a longtime fixture just north of the Pensacola Bay Bridge that was known for senior citizen deals and piping hot hush puppies, has shut its doors.
A simple sign on the door of the popular eatery that was located at 920 E. Gregory St. reads “Thank You for Your Patronage Over the Years. CLOSED.”
The owner, Walter Hall of Butler, Ala., could not be reached for comment Monday.
But the site won’t remain vacant for long.
Gulf Breeze resident Reina Medina said she has taken over the building’s lease with plans to open a new restaurant later this year.
Medina, who was at the restaurant supervising renovations Monday, wasn’t ready to reveal what the new restaurant would be named, or what will be on the menu.
