On April 22, Space Florida hosted a public workshop to educate 50+ stakeholders and garner feedback from those interested in proposing projects for the organization’s Spaceport Master Plan. The plan, compiled every two to three years, provides information to guide Space Florida in its efforts to modernize and expand infrastructure at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport.
Those interested in proposing projects for consideration (starting in 2015) should submit an application by June 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. (EST) at www.spaceflorida.gov (“Call for Projects” tab).
A number of Space Florida’s proposed projects in the 2010 Spaceport Master Plan were selected for $31 million in funding through the FDOT.
