Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative Launches Free Wi-Fi Initiative
DELRAY BEACH – Wi-Fi on East Atlantic Avenue from Swinton to A1A is free to the public thanks to the efforts of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative, which launched the project just in time for the On the Avenue centennial programs.
“It seems fitting that Delray Beach would usher in a new technological era during its 100-year centennial celebration,” said Jamie Salen, marketing and events manager for the DBMC. “All are invited to log in to the downtown Delray Beach free Wi-Fi for the very first time. While partnership with wireless providers in neighboring cities has seen more than a few projects collapse, the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative did their due diligence when researching the project and ultimately signed with the company that structured their service in a way that will be sustainable for the city, both financially and logistically.”
