DeLand has grants for downtown improvements
DELAND — The city is inviting property owners, business owners and others interested to apply for a pool of $20,000 in grants intended to improve the downtown area.
Through the MainStreet DeLand Association, the city’s downtown community redevelopment agency is offering six grant programs; for lighting, new residential units, new retail occupancies, for upper floor refurbishment, facade refurbishment and underutilized building rehabilitation.
Grant application packages are available from the MainStreet DeLand offices on the first floor of the Fish Building at 100 N. Woodland Blvd., or from the third floor reception desk at City Hall, 120 S. Florida Ave.
