The Tampa Community Redevelopment Agency hosted a community meeting Wednesday to hear from the public on how to best utilize public funds for Ybor City infrastructure projects.
“This is looking to improve deteriorated buildings and housing conditions… So those are the physical conditions of those buildings. Upgrading aging infrastructure, our roads our sidewalks and even our stormwater,” said Riva Heinrich, an urban planner.
The CRA says thus far, projects completed or in-progress include:
– Re-bricking 7th Avenue
-Turning nearby playgrounds into ADA accessible spaces
-Fixing lighting structures that keep the historic area’s charm
-Conducting a flood study for water-prone areas
