The Boynton Beach CRA is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Finance Department and support the agency’s financial planning, budgeting, accounting, procurement, and audit functions.

This position works closely with the Executive Director to ensure the CRA’s financial operations are accurate, efficient, and compliant with governmental accounting standards.

🔎 Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the CRA’s financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll and benefits administration, budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, bank reconciliations, and audit coordination. The position also assists with policy development, budget preparation, and financial planning while supporting special projects and organizational initiatives.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Finance Department
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Process payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with annual budget development and financial forecasting
• Coordinate the annual audit and work with external auditors
• Monitor budget activity and prepare financial analyses and reports
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract administration requirements
• Prepare agenda items, financial reports, and special projects for leadership
• Recommend improvements to financial policies and operational procedures
• Stay current on governmental accounting standards and public finance practices

🎓 Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience in governmental accounting and budget administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Florida driver’s license required
