The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is asking the community a deceptively simple question: What makes Fort Myers innovative?

Through a new online survey at TheInnovationWalk.com/Ideas, anyone with a connection to the city can name the people, places, ideas, and objects that capture its spirit of innovation. Every submission becomes part of a public gallery that will help inform the design of the Innovation Walk.

The Innovation Walk is a redevelopment initiative taking shape along the downtown Fort Myers riverfront, connecting Centennial Park to the Ford and Edison Winter Estates along the Caloosahatchee River. The project aims to become a lasting Fort Myers institution, a path where the city’s history of human creativity and discovery comes alive at a human scale.

“The Innovation Walk should reflect the whole Fort Myers story, and the only way to do that is to hear directly from the people who live it,” said Michele Hylton-Terry, executive director.
