New dog parks at the Tampa Riverwalk offer new space for community connection
Two new dog parks at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park are adding even more energy to Tampa’s Riverwalk, giving residents and their pets new spaces to gather and enjoy the waterfront. Designed for both small and large breeds, the parks are thoughtfully integrated into the existing landscape, enhancing one of downtown Tampa’s most active public spaces while supporting ongoing improvements along the Hillsborough River.
The Tampa CRA played a key role in bringing these new amenities to life, working alongside the City of Tampa, Parks and Recreation, and the Tampa Museum of Art. This kind of partnership helps ensure that public spaces continue to evolve in ways that serve residents and visitors alike. By supporting projects like this, the Tampa CRA helps create vibrant, accessible places that strengthen community connections and make downtown more inviting for everyone.
