Fort Lauderdale has officially unveiled the Thrive Art District, a vibrant five-acre creative hub transforming Progresso Village into a destination for arts, culture, and small business growth. Spanning more than 80,000 square feet, the district reflects a strong commitment to thoughtful redevelopment that celebrates the neighborhood’s character while creating new economic opportunities for residents and entrepreneurs.

A key driver behind this transformation is the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), whose support and investment have helped bring this vision to life. Through its partnership with the City and private developers, the CRA has played a critical role in revitalizing a once underutilized industrial corridor into a thriving, community-centered space that supports job creation, local businesses, and long-term neighborhood sustainability.

Today, the Thrive Art District stands as a dynamic gathering place featuring murals, galleries, local shops, and public spaces like Music Square and Art Square. It is more than a development—it is a reflection of what’s possible when strategic investment, community focus, and creative vision come together to build a stronger, more connected Fort Lauderdale.
