The Lake Worth Beach Community Redevelopment Agency says a long-planned downtown redevelopment centered on the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts is moving deeper into pre-construction, with permit activity and utility work now underway.

According to the CRA, WMODA submitted permit applications in October 2025, while the city’s Electric Utilities Department is relocating and upgrading power lines downtown to support the museum campus, a planned K Street parking garage, and other future development. The CRA said the work is part of a coordinated effort affecting multiple downtown projects.

The CRA also reported that WMODA is refining museum designs, including collaboration with Chihuly Studios and local arts groups, as city entitlements tied to the garage site move toward finalization. Next steps focus on continued utility work and advancing the permitting process as the project transitions toward construction.
