Next up in plans for new space for the Coral Springs Museum of Art in the Cornerstone development: city officials are considering hiring an architecture firm for $303,040 to handle the museum’s architecture and engineering services.
City commissioners are scheduled Wednesday to decide on hiring Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc. of St. Petersburg for the project.
The museum will go in roughly 8,100-square-feet of storefront space in the development’s north building expected to be completed within the next two years at the corner of Sample Road and University Drive.
In May, the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency agreed to spend $179,300 a year (with a 3 percent escalator each year) for leasing the new space.
