PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida division and the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) celebrated the completion of Carver Square, a new workforce housing community with 20 affordably priced homes. The event recognized the organizations that pulled together to put home ownership within the financial reach of local low- and moderate-income buyers.
“By building workforce housing at Carver Square, we are fulfilling our promise to give back to our local communities,” said PulteGroup Southeast Florida Division President Brent Baker. “This project is addressing a great need for Delray Beach and revitalizing the economy of this historic area.”
After acquiring two blocks of single-family properties, Delray Beach sought ways to build affordably priced housing on the 20 lots. They sit west of Southwest 7th Avenue, east of Southwest 8th Avenue, and between Southwest 2nd Court and Southwest 3rd Street.
PulteGroup bought the site and created a neighborhood with one- and two-story homes. The four floor plans have 3-5 bedrooms, 2 to 2.5 baths, and 2-car garages. Prices range from $166,110 to $308,490 based on the buyer’s annual household income and the size of the home.
