Neighborhood revitalization begins at home, and the Opa-locka Community Redevelopment Agency (OCRA) is making that vision a reality. Through a partnership with the Greater Miami Service Corps, OCRA completed exterior renovations on ten homes, giving longtime residents renewed pride in their properties while enhancing the beauty of surrounding neighborhoods.

Each home received improvements tailored to increase curb appeal and longevity, including fresh exterior paint, landscaping, pressure cleaning, repairs, and other façade enhancements. While these upgrades improve appearance, they also strengthen neighborhood stability, encourage private investment, and help preserve property values.

This initiative represents OCRA’s commitment to investing in people—not just buildings. Every improved home contributes to a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming Opa-locka. The program also demonstrates the power of collaboration between public agencies, nonprofit partners, and residents working toward a common goal.

As OCRA expands neighborhood revitalization efforts, additional home improvement opportunities will continue to support families while creating attractive, vibrant streets that reflect the pride of the Opa-locka community.
