Ride DTO reached its 50,000th ride during one of downtown Orlando’s most energetic weekends, as IMMERSE 2026 and a full lineup of concerts, sporting events, and community gatherings brought thousands to the urban core. This milestone underscores the growing popularity of the $1 on-demand service and its role in providing affordable, convenient mobility options that help residents and visitors easily navigate downtown.
“Ride DTO has become part of daily life in downtown Orlando,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “Each of those 50,000 rides represents someone getting where they need to go — whether that’s to work, a local restaurant, a community event, or simply moving around downtown more easily. Programs like Ride DTO help us build a downtown that is easier to navigate, more welcoming, and better connected for everyone.”
Since its launch in 2024, Ride DTO has grown into a dependable transportation option that supports economic activity and enhances the overall downtown experience.
“Reaching 50,000 rides is a testament to the demand for reliable, affordable mobility in our urban core,” said David Barilla, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board and Orlando Community Redevelopment Agency. “Ride DTO is more than a ride, it’s an investment in the accessibility, energy and continued growth of downtown Orlando. We’re proud of the momentum and grateful to the riders who make this program a success.”
