The project sign went up Monday morning on the vacant lot on North Ridgewood Drive in Sebring where Sadie’s Place will be built and right away a passerby, Debbie McGuire, commented that it looks like the Journal Plaza in Lake Placid.
X-Urban Construction co-owner Ken LeBlanc, and his construction manager Joe Martin, erected the sign with depictions of Sadie’s Place that will be built at 139 N. Ridgewood Drive, the former location of the Nan-ces-o-wee Hotel.
LeBlanc explained to McGuire and her husband, Robert, that he redeveloped Journal Plaza and he has a similar plan for Sadie’s Place.
He told Highlands News-Sun that four businesses are ready to sign leases for the forthcoming plaza.
The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency owns the Ridgewood Drive property. The CRA has a proposed agreement for providing the property to Sadie’s Place of Sebring LLC.
