The Jacksonville Beach Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) is inviting local Beaches-area artists to submit proposals for murals on six new dumpster enclosures in Jacksonville Beach. The goal is to enhance the urban landscape with fun, vibrant artwork inspired by beach life.
Key Details:
- Artists Selected: 6 total (each artist will paint one dumpster enclosure)
- Locations: Various sites along 6th–10th Avenues South in Jacksonville Beach
- Theme: Colorful, engaging murals celebrating beach life and appealing to a broad audience
- Eligibility: Artists who live or work in Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, or Atlantic Beach
Submission Requirements:
- Resume/CV
- Portfolio with at least 3 prior mural projects
- 3 client references
- Project proposal including concept description, sketches/renderings, materials list, and timeline
Ability to start ASAP is preferred
Compensation:
- $4,000 per artist (all-inclusive budget)
- $2,000 upon contract execution and concept approval
- $2,000 upon completion
Deadlines & Review:
- Application Deadline: February 13, 2026 by 3:00 PM (no late submissions)
- Review Meeting: February 19, 2025
- Selected artists will be notified if their concepts move forward for review and scoring
